this is going to be related to the blog post of 2025-11-11-i'm-thinking-of-investing-in-my-very-first-camera, i’ve been reading up about the different lenses, and since i’ve eventually decided on the sony fx3 as my tool of choice, it will also mean that the lenses i generally gear for are full frame and of course more pricey compared to their apsc cameras counterparts.

just thinking through my thoughts right now, in an ideal situation, most people will have three types of lenses to cover general usage - a wide, a general and a telephoto, but for my current use case and also financial situation, telephoto is definitely out of the picture, and something like a general and wide lens will serve me better.

currently, was thinking of a wide lens more for talking head and vlogging, whereas a medium zoom lens more for events, work, or travel especially when i can’t really be too close to certain things - that would mean i will be going for most likely the sony fe 16mm f1.8 g lens which is about 1k sgd and sigma 24-70 mark 2 which is 1.7, which roughly sets me back by another 3k, including nd filters etc
